Mechanics Explained
Twisted Toodles is a speed demon with amnesia — no mechanic, just speed plus a very short attention span.
The speed. At 20 chase speed, she's the seventh-fastest Twisted in the game. 3★ Movement Speed Toons run at 25 — more than 5 units faster, giving ample distance to hide. But 1★ Movement Speed Toons run at exactly 20 — her chase speed matches their run speed, making escape impossible without Items or Trinkets.
The short attention. Her 1-second attention span means she loses track of Toons easily. Three sharp turns normally shakes her off your trail. Hiding behind a box or anything that breaks line of sight drops her interest almost immediately.
Panic Mode. She slightly exceeds the speed of her Toon counterpart's chasing speed during Panic Mode — extremely dangerous. Slow Toons should head to the Elevator carefully once Machines are complete.
Blackout & Ichor Leak. Her darker design makes her a problem in Blackouts — use highlighting Toons or light-producing Toons. In Ichor Leaks, the puddle slowness lets her catch up — steer clear of puddles.
The lookalike problem. From behind, she looks extremely similar to Toon Toodles — players mistake her for a teammate and walk into her.
How to Counter
- 3★+ Movement Speed Toons: she's manageable. You outrun her by 5+ units — hide behind boxes and break line of sight; her 1-second attention does the rest.
- Three sharp turns shakes her. Her short attention means quick turns around corners drop her trail — use this liberally.
- 1★ Movement Speed Toons: don't get chased. Her speed matches your run speed exactly. Carry escape Trinkets (Speedy Shoes, Dog Plush) and call her out to your team.
- Distracting her: with 4★ Movement Speed you're only slightly faster, so check your distance constantly and sprint when she catches up. Sprout (or similar) is a great choice to keep distracting steadily, even in Panic Mode.
- Panic Mode: head to the Elevator early. Once all Machines are done, move carefully — she's extremely dangerous to slow Toons in the final stretch.
- In Blackouts, use detection. Her dark design hides her — use Brightney/Vee abilities or stay near light-producing Toons.
- Don't confuse her with Toon Toodles. Check the movement — Twisted Toodles behaves like a Twisted, not a player.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you counter Twisted Toodles?
She's fast (20 chase) but forgets you fast (1-second attention). Three sharp turns shakes her off, and hiding behind any line-of-sight breaker drops her interest. 3★+ Movement Speed Toons outrun her by 5+ units; 1★ Toons cannot escape without Items or Trinkets.
Why is Twisted Toodles dangerous if she has no ability?
Her speed IS the threat — 20 chase is the seventh-fastest in the game. For 1★ Movement Speed Toons, her chase speed exactly matches their run speed, making escape impossible. Her short attention is the only saving grace — use sharp turns to exploit it.
What's the best Toon to distract Twisted Toodles?
A 4★ Movement Speed Toon with speed Trinkets can hold her (you're only slightly faster, so sprint when she catches up). Sprout is a great choice for steady distraction even in Panic Mode. Avoid distracting her in small spaces or with other fast Twisteds present.
Is Twisted Toodles dangerous in Blackouts?
Yes — her darker design makes her hard to spot. Use highlighting Toons (Brightney/Vee) or light-producing Toons, and check around corners. In Ichor Leaks, puddle slowness lets her catch up to you.

How Research Works
Research is the unlock mechanic tied to Twisted encounters: each successful run against a Twisted fills a Research bar. At 100%, the corresponding Toon becomes unlockable (some at 50%). It's the core loop for unlocking Main Characters and higher-rarity Toons.
