Your starter pick: Choose Poppy if you want a forgiving, all-rounder start (her panic speed boost saves beginners constantly). Choose Boxten if you plan to play in full lobbies — his extraction snowballs with teammates. For most new players, Poppy is the safer call.

First unlock: Get Cosmo (1,000 Ichor, cheap healer) or Brightney (1,250 Ichor, Blackout utility) early. Then save toward a Main Character — Astro is the best first Main since he's the easiest to unlock (no Mastery requirement) and S-tier on top of it.
