Mechanics Explained
Twisted Glisten flips the Twisted formula: proximity is safety.
The calm meter. A meter above his head fills when no Toon is near him for a period of time, and drains when a Toon is close. When it fills completely, he enrages — faster, aggressive, and permanently (there is no way to calm him again). The meter takes roughly 70 seconds to fill unattended, so he needs regular "check-ins."
Instant enrage on floor-end. The moment all Machines are completed, he enrages immediately — no meter buffer, no warning beyond your own awareness. This makes the last Machine the most dangerous moment of his floor.
Enraged behavior. Once enraged, he's nearly identical to Twisted Pebble: very fast (24 chase, 28.8 in Panic Mode), large presence, and best handled by looping around a structure. His hitbox is smaller than Pebble's, which makes slowing him on objects slightly harder.
The meter only drains in detection range. His meter can only go down when someone is in his detection range. A low-Stealth Toon approaching him when he's near-enraged is a valid emergency tactic — but risky if Panic Mode is close.
How to Counter
- Assign a babysitter. Put one designated Toon in charge of staying near Twisted Glisten. This frees the rest of the team to work normally. He wanders aimlessly and can drift into other Twisteds' paths, so the babysitter must watch their surroundings.
- Leave him briefly when needed. His meter fills slowly (~70s), so you can step away to escape other Twisteds or when a teammate is on the last Machine. Don't abandon him for long.
- Communicate the last Machine. Alert the team before completing the final Machine — the babysitter needs to retreat, and everyone needs distance before he enrages.
- Enraged? Loop him like Pebble. Use a high-mobility distractor (Tisha, Pebble, Goob, or similar), hug an island tightly to slow him, and sprint-tap only when he catches up. Looping a small island tightly reduces the need to sprint.
- Use his Trinket (Glisten's Trinket) for escapes — it helps escape his enraged state during Panic Mode. Alarm has a similar effect but only lasts 10 seconds.
- Solo runs: stay near and do Machines as you go. If he drifts away from your Machine, quit extracting and follow him. On the last Machine, ditch him and extract it — then prepare to run.
- In Blackouts, use detection Toons. A Toon with a lens ability (like Vee) helps track him when darkness makes him hard to find.
- Best babysitters: high-Stealth, high-mobility Toons. Pebble (incredible mobility), Tisha, Cosmo (high Stealth + Stamina), Cocoa (Bonbon speed boosts), and Finn/Shelly (speed boost on Machine completion) are all strong picks.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you counter Twisted Glisten?
Assign a babysitter to stay near him so his calm meter drains instead of filling. Communicate before the last Machine (he enrages instantly when it completes). If he enrages, loop him around an island like Twisted Pebble — hug it tightly and sprint-tap only when he catches up.
How does Twisted Glisten's calm meter work?
It fills when no Toon is near him (about 70 seconds to full enrage) and drains when a Toon is in his detection range. Once full, he enrages permanently — faster, aggressive, and impossible to calm. He also enrages instantly when the last Machine is completed.
What's the best Toon to babysit Twisted Glisten?
High-Stealth, high-mobility Toons: Pebble (easily escapes even enraged), Tisha, Cosmo (Stealth + Stamina), Cocoa (Bonbon speed boosts for Panic Mode), or Finn/Shelly (speed boost when a Machine finishes). A low-Stealth Toon can also deliberately approach to drain his meter in emergencies.
Can you calm Twisted Glisten after he enrages?
No — once his meter is full, there is no way to return him to passive. Your only options are looping him (like Twisted Pebble) or running. That's why the babysitter strategy and last-Machine communication matter so much.

How Research Works
Research is the unlock mechanic tied to Twisted encounters: each successful run against a Twisted fills a Research bar. At 100%, the corresponding Toon becomes unlockable (some at 50%). It's the core loop for unlocking Main Characters and higher-rarity Toons.
