Mechanics Explained
Twisted Ginger has no special mechanic — she's a pure chaser. What makes her notable is the combination of extreme slowness and extreme persistence.
10-second attention span. This is the longest attention span in the game. Once she spots you, she commits. Breaking line of sight doesn't instantly free you — she keeps looking, keeps turning, and keeps coming back to your last position for a full 10 seconds.
The outwalk threshold. Her 14 chase speed means every 3★ Movement Speed Toon (15 walk speed) can outwalk her indefinitely without spending stamina or Trinkets. This is a huge advantage for low-stamina Toons — you can escape her on foot without burning your reserve.
The aggro-switch risk. Because she's so slow, she lags behind during chases. If other Twisteds are chasing your team, she can switch aggro onto another close target — and her long attention means that target is stuck with her for a long time.
Panic Mode. She speeds up in Panic Mode, reaching nearly the walking speed of a 4★ Movement Speed Toon — still manageable, but no longer outwalkable for 3★ Toons without effort.
How to Counter
- Outwalk her as a 3★+ Movement Speed Toon. Her 14 chase speed loses to 3★ walk speed (15). You can escape without stamina drain — huge for low-stamina Toons like Cosmo.
- Use long obstacles to lose her. Her long attention means she keeps turning during loops. Turn around a long object and run far away; alternatively, walk around a circular table until she gives up. Be careful — she tends to turn while you loop, which can get you hit.
- Distract her — she's one of the easiest. Her slow speed and long attention make her a dream distractor target: she never loses interest, so one distractor can hold her indefinitely.
- Watch for aggro switches. Her slowness makes her lag behind — if she's near other chases, she can switch onto a teammate and hold them for 10 seconds. Keep an eye on her position during multi-chases.
- 2★ or lower Movement Speed Toons beware. She can actually catch up to you when you walk. Carry a speed Item or stay out of her sight line entirely.
- Panic Mode caution. She speeds up to near 4★ walk speed — don't rely on outwalking her in the final stretch.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you counter Twisted Ginger?
As a 3★+ Movement Speed Toon, outwalk her — her 14 chase speed loses to your 15 walk speed, so you escape without spending stamina. Loop long obstacles or circular tables to drain her 10-second attention, and never underestimate her persistence during chases.
Why does Twisted Ginger chase for so long?
Her attention span is 10 seconds — the longest in the game. She commits to targets far longer than any other Twisted, which is why breaking line of sight isn't enough; you need to create real distance or loop an obstacle.
Is Twisted Ginger dangerous?
Low-medium. She's slow enough that most Toons outwalk her, but her persistence punishes slow Toons (1–2★ Movement Speed), can lead you into faster Twisteds, and her aggro-switch risk can stick a teammate with a 10-second chase.
What's the best Toon to distract Twisted Ginger?
Any standard distractor — her long attention span means she never loses interest, making her one of the easiest Twisteds in the game to hold indefinitely. Her slowness also means she won't outrun your distractor.

How Research Works
Research is the unlock mechanic tied to Twisted encounters: each successful run against a Twisted fills a Research bar. At 100%, the corresponding Toon becomes unlockable (some at 50%). It's the core loop for unlocking Main Characters and higher-rarity Toons.
