Mechanics Explained
Twisted Flutter's threat is motion, not damage. Her stats are average, but her behavior isn't.
Zero idle frames. Most Twisteds have idle moments between patrols. Flutter has none — she is always moving, always patrolling, and her roam speed is near her chase speed. She can leave your area and then double back to her previous patrol points in a short time, catching you when you thought she was gone.
The stamina tax. When she targets you, she can suddenly give up — only to catch you in her sight again a moment later. That pattern wastes the stamina you spent escaping. Average or below-average Movement Speed Toons feel this the most; obstacles that block her patrol don't fully protect you because she keeps returning.
Extraction disruption. Because she keeps coming back to the same areas, Machines in her patrol zone take much longer to finish. She can ambush you mid-extraction repeatedly.
The distraction flip side. For a distractor, she's trivial — her speed matches the standard distractor pace, so her roaming mechanic doesn't matter at all. She's one of the easiest Twisteds to hold.
Spring Fever danger. During the Easter Event, a Spring Fever makes her roam and run speed much faster — faster than Twisted Pebble when roaming, making her a big threat to open-area extraction. The upside: Spring Fevers also halve her attention span, making her easier to escape.
How to Counter
- Be a fast extractor on her floor. Toons like Vee or other high-Extraction-Speed picks can finish Machines before she patrols back to you — the best counter to her disruption is speed on the objective.
- Use obstacles, but don't trust them. She doubles back to her patrol points, so a shield that worked once won't work twice. Keep moving and keep an eye on her patrol pattern.
- Distract her if you can — she's easy. Her speed matches a standard distractor pace, so holding her is trivial. This removes her floor-wide disruption entirely.
- Manage your stamina during escapes. She gives up and comes back — don't blow your whole reserve on the first escape. Save some for her return.
- During Spring Fever, avoid open-area extraction. She's faster than Pebble when roaming during Easter events — work Machines near cover, and use the halved attention span to escape quickly if spotted.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you counter Twisted Flutter?
Use fast extractors to finish Machines before she patrols back to you, don't fully trust obstacles (she doubles back to her patrol points), and if possible, distract her — her speed matches a standard distractor pace, making her one of the easiest Twisteds to hold.
Why does Twisted Flutter keep coming back?
Her mechanic is incessant roaming with zero idle frames — she never stops patrolling, and she can double back to her previous patrol points in a short time. That's why she disrupts extraction and wastes escape stamina.
Is Twisted Flutter dangerous?
Medium. She has no special attacks — her threat is relentless motion and the stamina tax she imposes on escapes. For distractors she's trivial; for slow Toons extracting in open areas, she's a constant nuisance.
What's the best way to deal with Twisted Flutter during events?
During Easter Spring Fevers she roams faster than Pebble, so avoid open-area extraction and work Machines near cover. The upside: Spring Fevers halve her attention span, so she gives up on chases faster.

How Research Works
Research is the unlock mechanic tied to Twisted encounters: each successful run against a Twisted fills a Research bar. At 100%, the corresponding Toon becomes unlockable (some at 50%). It's the core loop for unlocking Main Characters and higher-rarity Toons.
