Mechanics Explained
Twisted Cocoa looks like a faster standard chaser, but her jump changes everything about how you avoid her.
Hops over what stops others. In a chase, Cocoa can jump over islands, low barriers, and obstacles — the same things you'd normally use to break line of sight. She cannot jump through walls, but she can clear most floor-level obstructions. She can also hop onto slightly raised floor sections on certain maps, which lets her approach from angles you don't expect.
Short attention, long danger. Her 0.8-second attention span means she gives up quickly in open spaces — distance is your friend. But hiding behind a jumpable obstacle just keeps you in her sight line while she clears it. The counter-intuitive take: don't hide behind low cover; get real distance or use high walls.
AFK threat. Because she can reach raised areas, she can spot Toons on AFK spots on certain maps (most notably Diner map variant 1). If she's on the floor, don't AFK.
Kiting risk. If you distract her around an island, she can get stunned mid-jump (briefly blocking your loop) or jump ahead of you — either outcome can put you in her hitbox or force a swerve into another Twisted's range.
How to Counter
- Get distance, not cover. Her attention span is tiny (0.8s). If you can put real space between you and her, she loses you quickly — hiding behind jumpable obstacles just delays the chase.
- Use high walls and rooms. She can't jump through walls. Route through rooms with high walls to break her chase — multiple rooms of cover will shake her.
- Avoid small islands for looping. She can jump over them mid-chase. If you must kite her, use open space and manage the jump timing — when she winds up a jump, she's briefly vulnerable to being stunned against the obstacle.
- Watch raised floor sections. On maps with raised areas (like Diner variant 1), she can hop up and ambush you, especially while you're on Machines. Check her position before extracting.
- Don't AFK on her floor. Her jump lets her reach spots other Twisteds can't — assume your safe spot isn't safe.
- Speed Trinkets are the counter for slow Toons. 1 Movement Speed Toons can't outrun her 21 speed; Movement Speed Trinkets close the gap meaningfully.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you counter Twisted Cocoa?
Don't hide behind low cover — she jumps over it. Put real distance between you (her attention span is only 0.8s) or route through rooms with high walls she can't clear. Avoid small islands when kiting, and watch raised floor sections where she can ambush you.
Can Twisted Cocoa jump over walls?
No — only floor-level obstacles, islands, and slightly raised floor sections. High walls and multi-room routing break her chase reliably.
Why does Twisted Cocoa keep catching me on AFK spots?
Her jump lets her reach raised floor sections that other Twisteds can't, including AFK spots on certain maps (notably Diner variant 1). If she's on the floor, don't rely on your usual safe spot.
Is Twisted Cocoa dangerous?
Medium. She's faster than most Twisteds (21 speed) and her jump counters standard hiding, but her tiny attention span means she gives up quickly if you create real distance. The danger spikes on maps with raised sections.

How Research Works
Research is the unlock mechanic tied to Twisted encounters: each successful run against a Twisted fills a Research bar. At 100%, the corresponding Toon becomes unlockable (some at 50%). It's the core loop for unlocking Main Characters and higher-rarity Toons.
