Mechanics Explained
Twisted Bassie operates on three overlapping systems, and understanding each one is the key to surviving her floors.
Flower traps. She spawns six flowers around the floor. Stepping near them applies Slow III and Tired II, which drains your speed and stamina regen at the same time. The flowers stay for the whole floor, so they reshape the map — a flower can block a hallway, sit on a Machine, or cover a distractor's loop.
Vine spikes. When she spots you, she spawns vines that track toward your position. Stepping on them deals Slow II and then 1 Heart of damage. The vines are relatively thin, so dodging is possible — but they can also spawn spikes that block your path mid-chase.
Self-stun window. Here's the counter-intuitive part: while her vines are active, Twisted Bassie herself is stunned and stationary. That's a 5-second window where she's not chasing anyone, and you can use it to reposition or even loop around her.
How to Counter
- Track the flowers. Note where each flower trap spawns and avoid those spots during chases. Unobstructed "islands" near you are your safe markers.
- Run perpendicular to her vines. When you hear her spotting sound, move sideways relative to her — the vines are thin, so a small lateral dodge often clears them. In Blackouts, locate her first.
- Exploit the stun. When her vines are out, she can't move. If you're cornered, you can walk toward her and around her body instead of fighting the vines.
- Speed items help more than usual. Items like Pop or speed-boosting consumables let you cross flower zones without getting slowed. Save them if faster Twisteds (or an enraged Twisted) are also on the floor.
- Distracting her: use a 5-star Movement Speed Toon, or 4-star with a speed Trinket. Distract in open space so her vines don't wall off your loop — treat it like distracting Twisted Scraps or Twisted Sprout, steering the vines somewhere unobstructive.
- Ribecca is a strong counter. The Undead makes her immune to both Slow and Tired debuffs, so she ignores the flowers entirely and can dodge vines more easily — great for saving slowed teammates.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you counter Twisted Bassie?
Memorize where her flowers spawn and avoid them in chases, dodge vines by running perpendicular when she spots you, and use her stun window (vines active = she's stationary) to reposition. Speed items let you cross flower zones safely.
How do you avoid Twisted Bassie's vines?
The vines are thin and track you slowly. The moment you hear her spot sound, find where she is and run perpendicular to her. If other Twisteds are chasing you, take an alternate path — the spikes that erupt can block you long enough to get hit.
What's the best Toon to distract Twisted Bassie?
A 5-star Movement Speed Toon, or 4-star with a speed Trinket. Distract in open space so vines don't wall off your loop, and keep flowers away from your kiting area.
Why does Twisted Bassie stay still during her ability?
Her vines stun her for about 5 seconds while active. Use this: walk around her body when cornered, or use the stun as a safe window to reposition or rescue teammates.

Corresponding Toon
Twisted Bassie is the Twisted form of Bassie (Event Main (Easter), tier Event). Encountering this Twisted grants Research toward unlocking the playable version. See the Bassie guide →
How Research Works
Research is the unlock mechanic tied to Twisted encounters: each successful run against a Twisted fills a Research bar. At 100%, the corresponding Toon becomes unlockable (some at 50%). It's the core loop for unlocking Main Characters and higher-rarity Toons.
