How to Get Ichor Fast in Dandy's World - Complete Ichor Farming Guide (2026)
The good news: Ichor isn't that hard to farm once you know where it comes from. This guide breaks down every source of Ichor, the fastest farming loop, and which Toons are worth saving for first.

What Is Ichor and What Do You Need It For?
Ichor is the game's main currency. You spend it in **Dandy's Store** (the lobby shop) on:
- **Toons** — new playable characters (the big expense)
- **Trinkets** — equippable passive bonuses
- **Skins and Stickers** — cosmetics
- **Consumables** — Bandage, Health Kit, Valve, and other run items
- **Arcade** — lobby arcade machines
One crucial detail: **Ichor is banked on death.** When you die mid-run, the run ends, but the Ichor you earned stays in your pocket. There's no punishment for dying except the run itself — so every floor you complete, even a failed one, is progress toward your next Toon.
Every Way to Earn Ichor
The two big levers are **floors** and **Machines**: floor completion pays 5 Ichor (more after Floor 15), and every Machine you fill pays another 5. Everything else — capsules, Actives, first encounters — is small change that adds up over a long run.
| Source | Ichor | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Complete a Floor | 5 | +6 per floor after Floor 15 — deep runs pay more |
| Fill a Machine | 5 | Extraction is your main bread-and-butter |
| Research Capsule | 2 | Grab these when you see them on a floor |
| First Twisted encounter | 1 | One-time bonus per encounter |
| Use your Active ability | 5 | Once per floor — free Ichor for pressing a button |
| Code "ICHOR" | 50 | Permanent code, redeemable once (see below) |
| Robux packs | — | Paid option, if you want to skip the grind |
The Fastest Farming Loop
If you want Ichor fast, optimize for **surviving long enough to clear floors, and filling every Machine you can**. The loop looks like this:
1. **Fill Machines whenever it's safe.** Machines are your most repeatable income. Don't sit on a completed floor waiting — the floor ends, you bank the 5, and the next floor starts fresh.
2. **Use your Active once per floor.** Actives give 5 Ichor per use, once per floor. It's free money — use it early in the floor so the cooldown is irrelevant and you still get the payout.
3. **Grab Research Capsules on sight.** 2 Ichor each, no downside, and they also feed your Research %, which you need for Main Toons later.
4. **Push past Floor 15 when you can.** Floors pay 6 Ichor instead of 5 past that point. A deep run with a good team is worth several shallow runs.
5. **Don't hoard items.** Spend Tapes on consumables — a Bandage or Health Kit that saves your run is worth more than the Ichor you'd lose by dying early.
Survival is the multiplier. Every source on that table scales with how many floors you clear, so the real Ichor strategy is: **stay alive, clear floors, fill machines**. If you're struggling to survive, our survival guide covers stamina, Blackouts, and the Panic Mode elevator dash.
Best Toons for Farming Ichor
Your Toon choice directly affects how fast the Ichor comes in. The Dandy's World tier list ranks them overall, but for pure farming these are the standouts:
- **Vee** — the best extractor in the game (Extract 5★). She fills Machines faster than anyone, which means more 5-Ichor payouts per floor. Her passive highlights the nearest uncompleted Machines, and her Active reveals all Twisteds and Machines for 5 seconds — perfect for safe, fast extraction. See the full Vee guide.
- **Boxten** — the budget extractor. His Wind-Up passive grants +6% extraction speed for every alive teammate (up to +48% in a full lobby). In a full lobby, Boxten fills Machines nearly as fast as Vee — for the price of a starter. See the full Boxten guide.
- **Astro** — not an extractor, but the best survival support. His Active fully restores nearby Toons' stamina, and his passive regens stamina 50% faster. More stamina = fewer deaths = more floors cleared = more Ichor. See the full Astro guide.
- **Poppy** — the beginner safety net. Her Panic Pop passive gives a 50% speed boost for 3 seconds when hit, which saves new players constantly. If you're still learning, Poppy keeps your Ichor flow alive. See the full Poppy guide.
General rule: if you're solo, pick a survivor; if you're in a full lobby, pick an extractor. Both roles feed the same Ichor economy.
How to Spend Ichor: Buy Order
Ichor is easy to earn but easy to waste. Here's what every Toon costs, so you can plan your unlocks:
| Toon | Price (Ichor) | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Poppy or Boxten (the one you didn't start with) | 250 | Starter |
| Cosmo | 1,000 | Regular |
| Brightney | 1,250 | Regular |
| Gigi | 2,000 | Regular |
| Waxwell | 3,500 | Regular |
| Shelly | 4,250 | Main |
| Vee | 4,500 | Main |
| Sprout | 4,500 | Main |
| Astro | 5,000 | Main |
A sensible buy order for a new player: **pick up your second starter (250) first** — it's nearly free. Then grab **Cosmo (1,000)** or **Brightney (1,250)** for a cheap role upgrade, and save for **Vee or Sprout (4,500)** as your long-term main.
Two things to know before you spend:
- **Main Toons (Vee, Sprout, Shelly, Astro) need more than Ichor.** You also need 100% Research on their Twisted form, plus full Mastery quests on another Toon — except Astro, who skips the Mastery requirement. Check the tier list and the individual Toon pages before you commit 4,500+ Ichor.
- **Event Toons don't cost Ichor at all.** Bobette, Bassie, Gourdy, and other event Toons are bought with event currency (Ornaments, Pumpkins, Baskets) — 3,000 each. Don't drain your Ichor on them; spend event currency during the event instead.
Free Ichor: Redeem the ICHOR Code
There's a permanent code that gives you **50 free Ichor**: **ICHOR**. It never expires, so if you haven't redeemed it, you're leaving free currency on the table.
To redeem: in the Lobby, use the first computer near Dyle's Store (the one with the "Redeem Codes Here!" sign), click Redeem, and enter the code. Codes aren't case-sensitive. For the full list of active and expired codes, see our Dandy's World codes page.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you get Ichor fast in Dandy's World?
Fill Machines (5 Ichor each), use your Active once per floor (5 Ichor), grab Research Capsules (2 each), and clear floors — completion pays 5 Ichor, and 6 per floor after Floor 15. Redeem the permanent ICHOR code for a free 50.
Does Ichor reset when you die?
No. Ichor is banked on death — you keep everything you earned, even if the run ends. Dying only costs you the run, not the currency.
What's the best Toon for farming Ichor?
Vee (Extract 5★) is the fastest extractor, making her the best pure farmer. Boxten is a strong budget pick in full lobbies (+6% extraction per alive teammate, up to +48%). Astro keeps you alive longer, which indirectly earns more Ichor.
How much does every Toon cost in Dandy's World?
The second starter costs 250 Ichor; Cosmo 1,000; Brightney 1,250; Gigi 2,000; Waxwell 3,500; Shelly 4,250; Vee 4,500; Sprout 4,500; Astro 5,000. Event Toons cost 3,000 event currency instead of Ichor.
Is there a free Ichor code?
Yes — the permanent code ICHOR gives 50 Ichor. Redeem it at the computer near Dyle's Store in the Lobby. See the codes page for the full list.
