Effect Explained
Research Map's effect is a Capsule radar: every 10 seconds, all Research Capsules on the floor are highlighted for you.
The beginner value: at 200 Ichor, it's one of the cheapest Trinkets in the game — accessible early. It helps new players collect more Ichor and Research, accelerating their progression toward new Toons and Trinkets.
The grinding value: - Mastery quests: Toons with "collect 125 Research Capsules" quests progress faster. - Twisted Research: easier to find Capsules when grinding specific Twisted encounters. - Rodger synergy: his Passive doubles Research from Capsules — Research Map lets him detect them faster, and with his above-average Extraction Speed, he can grind Research at top speed (even better with extraction Trinkets).
The hidden gem: Research Map will not highlight Twisted Rodger's fake Capsule — so if you see an unhighlighted Capsule, it's his trap. A free, reliable way to identify and warn teammates.
The limit: if you already have all Research, the Trinket loses its purpose. High-graphics players also benefit — shadows can hide Capsules in corners, and the highlight reveals them.
How to Get Research Map

- Beginners: cheap Ichor/Research acceleration.
- Twisted Rodger detection: spot his fake Capsule instantly.
- High-graphics players: reveal shadow-hidden Capsules.
