Effect Explained
Paint Bucket has two mechanics — the first Trinket in the game with a Toon-exclusive secondary effect.
Universal: +10% Skill Check size & chance. A modest boost. Alone, it's outclassed by Magnifying Glass + Participation Award combos and even by common Items (Stopwatches, Skill Check Candies). It saves only a second or two per Machine at best.
The combo value: - With Magnifying Glass: the +10% size directly mitigates MG's -33% penalty (reducing it to ~-26.3%) — while the chance increase lets MG's high-value checks appear more often. - With Participation Award: chance stacks to 60%, and the size multipliers (+10%/-10%) nearly cancel out — an unnoticeable size decrease with a huge chance boost.
Brusha-exclusive: +25% speed for 5s after Machine buff. After Brusha successfully buffs a Machine, she gains a 25% Movement Speed boost (18.75 walk / 31.25 run) — letting her quickly find the next Machine to buff, creating a chain reaction of speed boosts. She can also add small completion chunks to Treadmill Machines with the speed. Paired with a stamina-regen partner, Brusha can run and scout Machines freely.

Best Toon Combos
- Brusha: the exclusive speed boost makes her a Machine-buffing machine.
- Magnifying Glass pairing: size increase mitigates MG's penalty; chance boost maximizes its value.
- Participation Award pairing: 60% Skill Check chance with negligible size loss.
- High Skill Check Toons: extract via frequent checks.
- Avoid alone — the 10% boost is too modest on its own.
